Strengthening international sales: Michael Schöning becomes Vice President Sales at Virtual Minds

 

Freiburg, February 1st, 2024. Virtual Minds is continuing to push ahead with the international commercialisation of its ad tech portfolio. For this purpose, the leading European provider of programmatic advertising has now entrusted Michael Schöning with the management of its sales team. The experienced technology and marketing expert, who is returning to Virtual Minds from Swiss confidential computing specialist and data clean room provider Decentriq, will primarily focus on increasing the footprint of Virtual Minds’ Media Manager (ad server and SSP for traditional broadcast media) and Active Agent (omnichannel demand-side platform) technologies in the European target markets of France, the UK, Spain and Italy as Vice President Sales.

Michael Schöning (52) has over two decades of technology and marketing experience in digital business and online marketing with a focus on adtech and data management. His track record includes management positions at the Swiss DMP provider 1plusX, the attribution specialist Exactag, the online marketer AdLINK and the marketing joint venture Ad Audience. Schöning was Country Manager Germany as well as Chief Sales Officer for the Virtual Minds brand The Adex and played a key role in the successful development and expansion of sales activities and company growth in both roles. Most recently, as Director Media and Advertising Sales at Decentriq, he was responsible for establishing the Swiss company’s privacy SaaS solution in the DACH region and Benelux.

At Virtual Minds, the development of new, international market potential, the establishment of international marketing structures and partnerships as well as the management of the sales organization to implement the growth targets for all Virtual Minds product lines are at the top of the agenda for the new Vice President Sales. Schöning will also be responsible for the strategic acquisition and support of key accounts.
